Agriculture is a major industry in Florida, and the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame is once again looking for nominations to honor those in Florida ag. Inductees are those whose “contributions to agriculture have helped advance the industry and ensure it continues to thrive.” Since 1980, 171 individuals in Florida ag have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Nominating Someone to the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame
Anyone can nominate someone to be considered for induction into the Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame. According to the Hall of Fame’s website, “Nominators are encouraged to submit a thorough, well-developed submission that shows the magnitude of a nominee’s contributions to the industry.” The nomination forms, which can be found here with instructions, must be printed out and mailed in, postmarked no later than September 1st.
In a article, Florida Agricultural Hall of Fame Foundation President Ray Hodge said, ““There’s no way to quantify the tremendous contributions that the Hall of Fame inductees have made to Florida farming. They have shaped our industry. We invite the agriculture community to nominate those who have demonstrated selfless dedication to advocacy and advances in agricultural production.”
