Beef Quality Assurance Field Day Details

January is a busy month for meetings, events, and trade shows because it is a time of low production for many in the ag industry, and there are many different events going on for those in Florida ag. These events are great avenues for learning about industry changes and educational topics, to learn about the latest developments and product releases, and to network with others in the industry.

The field day offers a slew of topics to benefit Florida cattle producers. University of Florida presenters Dr. Todd Thrift, Lauren Butler, Sonja Crawford, and Lindsey Wiggins will be giving seminars for beef producers on the following topic:

  • Cattle Handling and Welfare
  • Injection Sites
  • Proper Use of Vaccines and Syringes
  • Judicious Use of Antibiotics
  • Avoiding Residues
  • Cull Cow Management

The day includes a lunch sponsored by Merck Animal Health. Interested parties must register by January 8th by contacting Lauren Butler at 863-763-6469 or L.Butler@ufl.edu , or by visiting https://www.eventbrite.com/e/beef-quality-assurance-tickets-78693573597.
