Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is asking Florida farmers, beekeepers and applicators to participate in a survey that aims to collect important background information about the current state of knowledge, common practices, concerns, and other relevant information about pesticides and pollinators in Florida, directly from its stakeholders. As many of you know, bees are an essential part of our practices in the grove, and participating in this survey will assist our fellow apiarists and grove owners in their efforts to protect our pollinators.
Participating in this survey is completely anonymous, and will take approximately 10-15 minutes.
This survey will help provide knowledge on how we can:
- Reduce hazards to bees & honey production
- Encourage healthy and legal use of pesticides
- Point out measures that should be taken to reduce risks
- Improve communication between growers, applicators & farmers
- Determine the purpose of your operation & any changes you’ve noticed
