See the details and positive results from the Citrus Industry Pulse Survey, given by Florida Grower Magazine.

Florida Grower Magazine recently conducted a survey, the Citrus Industry Pulse Survey, to gauge the sentiments of Florida citrus growers on the state of the Florida citrus industry. Results were shared in a Growing Produce article, and there were many positive points that respondents made. See the positive highlights from the survey below.

Highlights of the Citrus Industry Pulse Survey

According to the Growing Produce article, there were many positive responses concerning the state of the Florida citrus industry in the Citrus Industry Pulse Survey. Highlights of those positive results include:

-55 percent of responding Florida citrus growers answered that they believe they can continue to grow citrus in a greening-endemic environment. That’s an increase of 10 percent over last year’s responses or 45 percent positive.

-25 percent of responding citrus growers believe the production numbers for 2020-2021 will be higher than last year’s, and 52 percent of respondents thought they production numbers would be about the same.

-73 percent of responding citrus growers maintained they are actively replanting citrus trees, and 16 percent said they were planning on replanting in the next 12 months.

-64 percent of respondents maintained their businesses have not been negatively affected by the pandemic shutdown.

While not all of the survey’s questions were met with positive answers, it’s clear to see Florida citrus growers have a positive outlook on the citrus industry.
