Details of the Florida Citrus Podcast “All in for Citrus”

UF/IFAS has partnered with Southeast Agent to deliver the podcast in order to “provide the latest news on citrus-related research in a monthly podcast,” according to a Citrus Industry article. The podcast is meant to keep Florida citrus growers up-to-date on the latest in The Sunshine State’s citrus industry, specifically for combating citrus diseases like citrus greening, also called HLB, and others. It features interviews with UF/IFAS scientists discussing their research and its implications for the FL citrus industry.

Florida citrus research coordinator and director of the UF/IFAS Citrus Research and Education Center in Lake Alfred, Michael Rogers, shared ““This is the latest tactic in a comprehensive communications effort launched this past summer by the UF/IFAS Citrus Team,” in the article.

He maintained that the podcast is part of a campaign that included a monthly citrus newsletter and the newly launched UF/IFAS-run website on citrus research. The website offers a one-stop location for all of UF/IFAS’s research, including a link to the 2018 Citrus Production Guide and the newsletter.

January’s “All in for Citrus” podcast includes a citrus Extension update, a farewell message from an industry leader, and a look at combating the latest in citrus diseases. Listen to the podcast here.
