June 19th to the 21st will see the Florida Cattlemen’s Association’s Annual Convention in Orlando, Florida. The cattle convention is a time to explore topics in the cattle industry in Florida, to delegate, to get together and network, and to have a good time. Held at The Omni Championsgate Resort in Orlando, the cattle convention offers both information and fun for cattle producers and their families from all over the state. Cattle Convention Offerings

 

The FCA’s cattle convention is three days of nonstop meetings, activities, and events. Each event at the convention is important. They can be an opportunity to share important information or updates, create time for association business, to meet and network with others in the Florida cattle industry and other industry partners, and to relax and have fun away from the ranch. Some of the convention’s events include:

Educational Events and Association Meetings. These events are all about giving those in the cattle industry new and pertinent information:

  • Agricultural Research & Education
  • Congressional Animal Health & Inspection
  • Colonial Environmental, Private Lands Management

FCA Business. These events are concerned with the workings of the association, or other aligned groups.

  • Opening General Session, including a Call to Order, an Invocation/Pledge Allegiance, etc.
  • Speaker, Phil Bass, PhD
  • Florida Grazing Lands Coalition Meeting

Networking. These events bring cattle operators and those offering trades or services together.

  • Allied Members’ Trade Show
  • Various breakfasts, lunches, and dinners, such as the Cattlemen’s Reception and Supper
  • Banquet in the ballroom requiring evening attire

Entertainment and Fun. These events are about entertainment and having fun.

  • Silent Auction
  • Golf Tournament
  • Dance in the ballroom
