The rankings were measured and released by The Center for World University Rankings. The center measures the quality of education and training of students as well as the prestige of the faculty members, and the quality of their research without relying on surveys and university data submissions.” The University of Florida was ranked as part of a group of over 26,000 degree-granting colleges, universities and other institutions of higher education across the globe.

The University’s highest ranking came in Entomology, the branch of zoology concerned with the study of insects. The Entomology department ranked #1 in the world.
