Details of the Agricultural Entrepreneurship & Farm Business Planning Short Course
The Agricultural Entrepreneurship & Farm Business Planning Short Course delivers interactive live sessions every Thursday, from 11:30 AM to 1 PM, for three weeks; there are two lessons per week featuring “recorded presentations, worksheets, videos, and quizzes.” Participants will use discussion forums to show learning and to communicate with instructors and other participants. Those who successfully pass the course will earn a ‘proof of participation’ certificate. This meets descriptions of farm management curriculum programs per the USDA FSA loan programs.
Topics addressed during the lessons include:

- Defining Your Vision & Goals – Clarify your mission and objectives.
- Business Planning – Provides strong building blocks for your farm business plan.

- Farm Financing & Financial Planning – Explore funding options and budgeting.
