The health of a pasture is vital to the health of the whole operation: to livestock wellness, to the ranch’s fiscal strength, and more. Given Florida’s tropical climate and sandy soils, there are a lot of considerations when it comes to pasture health. Griffin Fertilizer has a commitment to helping Florida ranchers make sound agricultural and economic decisions that maximize the health of their pastures. In the spirit of that commitment, we’re hosting a Pasture Management Field Day with DOW Chemical Company.
Slated for June 3rd from 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Field Day will be held at the UF/IFAS Range Cattle Research and Education Center in Ona, Florida. At the event Dr. Brent Sellers, an associate professor with UF/IFAS and Extension weed specialist, will be giving an informative presentation on pasture health. Lunch will also be provided at the end of the event. Those interested in attending need to RSVP by June 1st. Call (863) 635-2281 to register to attend this informative session, or RSVP on our event page by clicking here.
