The Fertilizer Institute announced its 2025 4R Advocates in August, and a Florida-based grower and nutrient retailer were named as one of three groups of advocates from around the country. Griffin Fertilizer was honored to be the nutrient retail partner of 2018 4R Advocate, Beck Brothers Citrus. We’re proud of all the 4R Advocates, but especially those who hale from The Sunshine State! What is a 4R Advocate?
According to a Fertilizer Institute article, “These grower-retailer partners are being recognized for their outstanding commitment to implementing nutrient management practices grounded in 4R principles: applying the Right fertilizer source, at the Right rate, Right time, and Right place.”
Additionally, “the 4R Advocate program showcases the tangible benefits of 4R Nutrient Stewardship through real-world application and field-level results. The 4R framework is designed to provide farmers with research-based, practical tools to improve crop productivity, enhance environmental outcomes, and promote sustainable farming for future generations.”
Details of the Florida 2025 4R Advocates
In a separate Fertilizer Institute article, they shared that “At Lipman Family Farms, the largest producer of fresh-market, open-field tomatoes in the U.S., sustainability and productivity go hand in hand.”
