The USDA is hosting four more free cattle webinars that will be held in the evenings, starting on Tuesday, November 17th.

Cattle producers, feeders, and others aligned with the U.S. fed beef supply chain can attend four more free cattle webinars hosted by the USDA as part of their Fall 2020 Virtual Series: Cattle and Carcass Grading webinar offerings. These webinars are in addition to another free cattle webinar offered on Thursday, November 12th, according to a Southeast AgNet article. While all of the webinars are free, registration is required. See the details of the webinars below.

According to the article, the “webinars are designed to assist cattle producers, feeders, and others in the U.S. fed beef supply chain who want to better understand the reporting, delivery, and grading of feeder cattle, live cattle, and carcasses, particularly relating to CME live cattle futures.” The first webinar, slated for Tuesday, November 17th, starts at 7 pm eastern standard time, and it’s expected to last until 9 pm. Then, each Tuesday evening will have another free, virtual webinar up to December 15th.

Guest speakers at the webinar include speakers from each of the three regional USDA Cattle and Carcass Training Centers (CCTCs) —West Texas A&M University, Colorado State University, and the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center—the CME Group, and USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), according to the article.
